The Valley is serviced by DELTA/SKYWEST, HORIZON/ALASKA AIRLINES, UNITED AIR AND ALLEGIANT AIR from GLACIER INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (FCA). The airport is 35 minutes north of our Inn. Rental vehicles and shuttle service are available at the airport by the major carriers. AMTRAK train station is just 40 minutes north in Whitefish. The village of BIGFORK is located at 2,900 feet above sea level and sits where the Swan River spills into Flathead Lake. The weather is cool and maritime influenced. Summer highs are in the 80's to the 90's with evenings cooler for sleeping in one of our unique bungalows at THE ISLANDER INN. Winter temps can range from 20 degrees to 50 degrees during the day. The Islander Inn and the Raven Pub are surrounded by cherry orchards, huckleberry bushes and cooled by the clean air off of Flathead Lake. In the middle of November local “elves” turn out and decorate the town with greenery and lights for the holiday season. The town glistens in festive colors until January.
